PCOS Nutrition Care with a Registered Dietitian

Polycystic ovary syndrome affects how your body handles insulin, hormones and inflammation. Our dietitians build a plan around your symptoms, your cycle and the foods you actually enjoy, without crash diets.

PCOS nutrition counseling

Is this for you?

  • You have been diagnosed with PCOS, or your doctor suspects it
  • You have irregular cycles, acne, unwanted hair growth or stubborn weight gain
  • You have insulin resistance or prediabetes alongside PCOS
  • You are trying to conceive and want nutrition support
  • You take metformin, inositol or a GLP-1 medication and want to eat to support it

How our dietitians help

Blood-sugar friendly eating

We pair carbohydrates with protein, fiber and healthy fats so energy stays steady and cravings ease. No food group is banned.

Labs that guide the plan

We review A1c, fasting insulin, lipids and vitamin D when available, and adjust your plan as results change.

Supplements, checked

Inositol, vitamin D and omega-3s are common questions. We review the evidence, your medications and quality before recommending anything.

Cycle-aware habits

Movement, sleep and stress all affect PCOS. We set small weekly goals across all four so progress is realistic.

What to expect

  1. First visit: your dietitian reviews your health history, labs, medications and eating habits, then you set 2–3 goals together.
  2. Your plan: a personalized plan with meal ideas, recipes and tools, shared in your Healthie portal.
  3. Follow-ups: regular check-ins, usually every week or every other week at first, to track progress and adjust.

Visits are in person in Suwanee or Lawrenceville, GA, or by secure video in 25 states. More about visits.

Insurance coverage

Most commercial plans cover nutrition counseling for PCOS when it is billed with a related diagnosis such as insulin resistance or obesity. Check your plan with our insurance checker.

Check your insurance in 10 seconds

Coverage depends on your specific plan. We check your benefits before your first visit, and it helps if you also call the member number on your insurance card. Our billing promise means no surprise bills.

PCOS: common questions

Can diet really help PCOS?

Yes. Nutrition is a first-line part of PCOS care. Improving insulin sensitivity through food, activity and sleep can help regulate cycles and energy, and it supports any medication your doctor prescribes.

Do I need to cut out carbs or dairy for PCOS?

Usually not. Most people do best with balanced meals that include quality carbohydrates. We only remove foods if your symptoms or test results point to a specific reason.

Is PCOS nutrition counseling covered by insurance?

Often, yes. We are in-network with Aetna, Anthem/BCBS, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana and others. Coverage depends on your plan and diagnosis codes, so call the number on your card to confirm.

Can I see a PCOS dietitian online?

Yes. We offer secure video visits in 25 states, and in-person visits in Suwanee and Lawrenceville, Georgia.
