Weight Management with a Registered Dietitian
Lasting weight change comes from habits you can keep, not short-term rules. We look at what, when and why you eat, plus sleep, stress and activity, then build a plan one step at a time.

Is this for you?
- You have tried diets that worked briefly and then stopped
- Your doctor has recommended weight loss for blood pressure, cholesterol, joints or blood sugar
- You are going through menopause and your body is changing
- You want to support a child or teen’s healthy growth without focusing on the scale
- You are considering or taking a GLP-1 medication
How our dietitians help
No forbidden foods
We use portion awareness, meal structure and protein and fiber targets so you feel full and satisfied.
Personal meal plans
You get a flexible plan with recipes and grocery ideas that fit your budget and family.
Behavior & emotional eating
We work on triggers like stress, boredom and late-night eating with practical strategies.
Progress beyond the scale
We track energy, labs, waist measurements and how your clothes fit, not just weight.
What to expect
- First visit: your dietitian reviews your health history, labs, medications and eating habits, then you set 2–3 goals together.
- Your plan: a personalized plan with meal ideas, recipes and tools, shared in your Healthie portal.
- Follow-ups: regular check-ins, usually every week or every other week at first, to track progress and adjust.

Weight Management: common questions
Does insurance cover a dietitian for weight loss?
Often, yes, especially when billed with a diagnosis such as obesity, prediabetes or high cholesterol. Coverage varies by plan, so check with your insurer.
Will I get a meal plan?
Yes. Your dietitian creates a personalized, flexible meal plan, then adjusts it at follow-ups based on what is working.
Do you work with children?
Yes. Several of our dietitians see children and teens, and our team includes a Strong4Life certified dietitian who is also certified in pediatric and adult weight management. We focus on family habits rather than dieting.
How fast will I lose weight?
A safe, sustainable pace for most adults is about 0.5–2 pounds a week. Your dietitian will set goals based on your health and medications.
